Garmin Educator Kits for Classroom Instruction

Here is a ready to go lesson plan kit for teaching GPS basics to students.  It includes  10 Garmin GPS72 units, 10 student manuals, an instructor's manual , an instruction video, a data transfer cable, and access to free software plus an overview of how the GPS units determines positions on the face of the earth.  An Excellent GPS educator solutions for the science classroom. 

The Garmin GPS72 offers more precise GPS positioning using real-time correction data obtained from the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS).  The WAAS corrected accuracy is in 2-3 meters range; Ideal for navigating to known locations.  The GPS72 can store 500 users waypoints and 50 reversible routes. It also has 1 MB memory.  

The instructors manual includes a flexible course outline, class exercises and tests.  Students can learn to navigate to preselected locations, conduct treasure hunts for fun or education, set routes to insure safe return to starting locations, and place waypoints on local maps.  The instruction videos reinforces navigation learning.
